sioSHIELD™
Give every screen two identities: fully private when you need discretion, fully bright and visible when you don't. Patented dual-backlight technology enables both viewing modes in standard LCD screens — no compromise on image quality, no extra hardware required.
Switching between modes is as simple as toggling different LED arrays on or off. In privacy mode, LEDs insert light into a standard backlight. This light is then collimated by prism sheets and a privacy filter for effective light collimation. The collimated light passes through siOPTICA's key component — a dedicated light guide — which requires low scattering properties to preserve the privacy effect. Finally, the collimated light passes through the LCD panel and is directed to the selected viewer within a narrow field of view in privacy mode. In public mode, LEDs insert light into the dedicated light guide which then illuminates the LCD panel over a wide viewing angle area.

Give any screen the power to protect what's on it. siCURE™ technology adds fade-to-black switchable privacy to OLED, microLED, and LCD displays — full resolution, full color, on demand.
siCURE™ combines a vertically aligned polarizer with a liquid crystal cell to create a switchable view control filter. On demand, the filter shifts between high and low transmission for designated viewing angles. This shift switches the display between public and private modes — instantly and without affecting image quality.
